I see, yes maybe that is a nice solution. i will certainly try it next trip. Thank you very much!

At the same time I can try the others as well, for example Sygic and also Mapfactor. And I will also try to find some cheap dedicated gps. What brand is best working in Thailand

on that? I heard some say Garmin? What about tomtom or Navigon?

Because that time I use that prepaid SIM card no one of my 350 customers can call me on the normal sim card. Which is Swedish by the way.

I don´t want to make it so complicated. I just like to find a decent navigation that works off-line that´s all. But out of them there are in the marked of course I try to find the best one.

I can even pay for it if there is no better solution for free.

OK, this is the first time we've heard about this requirement.

Maybe just get an inexpensive simple mobile phone, these are available for ~ 900 Baht, pop your Swedish SIM into that to handle your customers calls - will not want to see your bill for those calls - and use a local Thai pre-paid SIM with data in your smartphone as bino suggests.

However Google Maps with Navigation will not work here unless you mod your phone, and have a mobile data connection (assuming that you are not able to cache enough area), so I suspect that is not an option. You will have to utilize one of the other free/paid applications, all of which are mentioned/reviewed in the linked thread, which allow for full/complete off-line maps.

Please note that if all you need is mapping and directions Google Maps will be OK, again assuming a mobile data connection. I honestly believe that if you truly need turn-by-turn navigation, with all that it entails, that you should use a dedicated GPS system.
