You really need more than a job offer to change your visa inside Thailand:

Application for Visa Status Alteration. (TM.86)

Copy of passport entries.

4 X 6 cm photograph.

Application fee of 2,000 baht.

Company letter requesting for Visa Status Alteration.

Employment contract. (Labor Dept.)

A letter of guarantee to certify commercial registration.

Company registration certificates.

VAT registration certificate and the lists of company Board of Directors.

The latest financial statement. (Balance sheets ; Profit & loss statement)

Company income tax or trading tax returns.

Documents providing evidence of education ; Job experience of foreign national.

Withholding Tax records.

BOI letter application for changing visa.

Remarks

The Applicant must sign every page of the application.

The Company Authority must sign to certify all documents and have them stamped with the company seal.

The visa applicant must arrange the documents in proper order and must prepare the originals as proof.

Ok Lopburi3!

That look seriously complicate this thing!

Is it simple if I go outside Thailand to change my Tourist Visa for a Non-Immigrant Visa, come back in Thailand and apply for the working permit?

Can I change it in Lao or Cambodia?

Cambodia really is not interested is issuing visas so I would give them a pass. Laos would be a better bet but most people opt for Malaysia.

Here's some infos I'm looking for!

I'm Married to Thai lady!

Is there a minimum salary that I must obtain from my employer?

For the Non-Immigrant Visa"B", Penang or Singapour?

Can someone refer Me to a layer company to help for the Non-Immigrant "B' visa and Work Permit procedures?

Do I need a specific amount of money?

Do I need my Tax report from Canada?

Also, the company who's offering the job is brand new! Do they have to be opened for a minimum time before they can hire a foreigner?

Thanks!

Sunbelt Asia who sponsor part of the forum are probably one of the cheapest and most active players. It is not that hard a process but there are a lot of papers that have to be right so you would want to use someone with current experience (although if you have time and are careful you can DIY). The company age should not matter but they must meet requirements to allow them to support a work permit. Believe there are two sets of salary with one required for work permit (someone mentioned 30k?) and another required if you want to extend your stay on a yearly basis (based on nationality).

Agree with Lopburi3, IndoSiam or Sunbelt will sort you with the WP procedures, DIY is really a non-starter.

NOW, since you are married to a Thai why not buzz down to Penang and get yourself a multi-entry Non-O visa, that gives you 90 days per stay and with correct timing can keep you going for up to 15 months. You can get a work permit against the non-o and (important to some) the visa is not tied to your job, so if it all goes pear-shaped you're not stuck with leaving the country within 7 days.

You will need copies your wife's ID and your marriage papers. Why not take her with you and have a few days in Penang, the opening times of the consulate mean you need at least one night, two if you use Air Asia. There is no requirement to show financial details to get the visa (only to extend it on the grounds of supporting your wife).
