All my browsers home pages are now www.hao123.th and resetting the homepages does not work. Must have been highjacked via a download but I have uninstalled recent ones and this hao123 is still there all the time. How to get rid of it.

Superantispyware will apparently remove it and many more can be found by Googling 'remove hao123', you may have to run in Safe Mode.

take a quick look at your browser add-ons before you bring out the big guns. hao123 is a Chinese social networking website. maybe you caught only their chat add-on.

Edit: there is also rouge adware around.

Fix: download combofix from here . 1) Disconnect internet 2) Switch AV software off. 3) Run combofix (as admin) 4) Switch AV back on 5) reconnect net. 6) done
