PATTAYA:--Pattaya’s Tourist Police have arrested one of two men wanted in connection with an extortion case involving an Englishman and a Thai woman, Khun Pragai aged 40 dating back to 16th June.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Arun, Inspector-in-Charge of the Pattaya Tourist Police held a press conference in the early hours of Wednesday to announce the arrest of Khun Tamagrit aged 28 who was caught in South Pattaya, more than one month after he joined his accomplice at the Diana Dragon Apartments to break up an altercation between Khun Pragai and Mr. Paul Denham who occupied a room at the apartments.

An allegation that 12,000 Baht was handed over to the men by Mr. Denham led Police to arrest one of the suspects days after the incident. The second suspect has now been arrested by the Tourist Police and was found to be carrying an unlicensed two-way radio and two id cards suggesting he works as a Police Volunteer in Chiang Mai Province
