Can we do visa runs from Thailand to the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone (GTSEZ) in Laos opposite Sop Ruak? I know we're allowed to go over to the casino but I didn't see any Thai immigration procedures for those taking the boat across the Mekong. If Laos just holds our passports while we gamble and we don't get stamped out of Thailand then of course we can't get a new Thai visa on the return, right?. The Lao govt. recently announced that a "unilateral" immigration office was activated at the GTSEZ but I'm not sure what that means.

The visa is valid for 3 months, meaning that all 3 etries must be made within those 3 months. As each entry gives 60 days, he cannot use more than 2 entries. So yes, he wasted 1 entry.

Normally at nearly all embassies and consulates any tourist visa with more than one entry is valid for 6 months.

But in Laos they are only valid for 90 days.

Nearest location to get a 3 entry with 6 months validity is at the honorary consulate in Bali.
