PATTAYA:--A Dutch tourist was the victim of a street robbery on Pattaya Beach on Sunday Afternoon.

Police were called and managed to arrest the suspected thief, Mr. Neung, a Cambodian street seller who had attempted to escape but was caught in a Hotel car park located at the Northern end of Pattaya Beach.

The victim, Mr. Martin Eckhardt aged 47 from The Netherlands and the suspect were taken to Pattaya Police Station where it was revealed that Mr. Eckhardt was sitting on the beach when he was confronted by Mr. Neung who attempted to sell him a cigarette lighter.
