Can I Apply For Visa With Outdated/ Possibly Cancelled Bluebook?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm just about to reapply for Non Imm O visa based on marriage. It turns out that the bluebook my wife has possesion of is outdated, we're living quite a way from her home and her family needed the book promptly so they went to the Amphur and cancelled the current one (stating it was lost) and got a new one while my wife had possesion. I have to get a new visa in 4 days and just found this out.

I've talked to my wife and her friends and they seem to think it'll be no problem as all the information is the same, but I don't know, is there a bardcode or unique identifier in it? Will it be picked up by KL Thai embassy?

I've had the document officially translated, so it'd be a pain to do that again, but not half the pain of being denied a visa or having problems in KL.

Any experiences or any advice greatly appreciated.

Regards

Leon.

Ok, I forgot only a copy is required, one is being sent now, so np :)

That said, still like to know if I can use the old one, as I'm going to OZ with Wife soonish and would prefer not have to have it translated again...

Thanks.

I don't think there is not any information that consulate or offices other than Amphoe that could determine it is outdated or invalid.
