170,000 Appear For Thai Police Entrance Exams

Featured Replies

Do these young men and women really want to be become murders in the future? As my Thai friends like to say: never ever under any circumstances give your daughter to a policeman for wife but believe in rural Thailand people don't mind if the prospect groom has some sibling you is policeman. As we say: don't get too near to them but is still handy to have one of these bastards somehow linked to your family.

I got the scare of the year the other day when the wife was trying to explain her grandson needing 5,000 baht to go to school to learn to be a policeman. Turned out it was to some school for cadet training as he would like to join the army.

Got to admit it that was one big relief.

I can honestly say, that having several relatives as coppers has been extremely useful in many situations, not least of which was tracking down a friend's runaway daughter. Took them 3 hours to work out that she had managed to travel over 250km by bus over night, pick her up, and return her to their doorstep.

I wonder how Chalerm's boy did on the entrance exam.

I suppose he can spell his own name.

Except he wrote it in the space next to "Today's Date"

Under tightened security to prevent cheating, about 170,000 people yesterday took part in the makeup entrance examination for the recruitment of noncommissioned policemen.
