Non B Visa Question

Featured Replies

I came to Thailand on a non b visa I got in Hull, England as the tefl course I was doing helped me with a letter of intent to employ me.

They did not mange to find me a job, I did have a position in Bangkok which I left as they gave me no work permit and now I am in a new school.

My non b 12 month multiple entry visa runs out in Ocotber, can I get aother one?

The school is still saying they are processing the work permt fo rme.

Thanks

Without a work permit you cannot get an extension of stay from immigration or even a new non-B in the reagion without at least having a wp3 form, showing you have applied for the WP and other documents from the school.

You are not even allowed to start working without a WP, so make sure the school is serious. A WP for a teacher doesn't take long to get, for a government school it can be done in 1 or 2 days.

If you mean the visa is expiring in October you can do another border run and get another 90 day entry as long as you do it on or before the expiration date.

Once you get the work permit you could get an extension of stay good for a year with paper work from school. That means no border runs would be needed.
