Udon Thani - Vientanie Bus Evening

Im landing this sunday 17:25 in Udon Thani.

Where i have to go to get bus to Vientiane.

I dont want to spend night in Udon. Will I catch some bus evening?

You will not be able to get a bus directly to Vientiane unless you already have a Lao visa.

You should be able to get a bus to Nong Kai at the bus station in Udon or possibly a Mini van from airport.. And then Tuk Tuk to bridge.

The bridge closes at 10 so you need to be there early enough (9 suggested)to clear Lao immigration before 10.

Edit: If you are flying Nok air they have there own bus service to bridge. Info is on their website.

In the arrival area of Udon Thani Airport there are, at least, 2 companies that offer quick transport to Nong Khai Thai Immigration checkpoint, I think one-way thb150.-.

Time wise you should be ok to cross border.

At the border you get a bus to cross the river,thb40.-, , on the Lao side, after getting the Lao arrival visa and passing Laos Immigration, there are plenty of transport into town.
