New Company Start Up (Work Permit)

Featured Replies

I will be applying for a O type visa based on marriage to enter Thailand and then will apply for an extention of stay based on marriage (Requirements are no problem to fulfil).

My question is I have been offered the position of MD for a new company that will be set up so as far as I understand it I will need to have a work permit which requires company supporting company paperwork. If this is a new company I am assuming proof of company past trading is not required so only the paperwork for the new company registration etc is needed. Any comments/remarks would be greatly appreciated.

For a new company you can get a work permit with the right paper work. What you can't get is an extension of stay from immigration based on your employment for the first 2 years. Since you will be on an extension of stay based on marriage it should not be a problem.
