So airasia have change my flights and now i'm stuck at Don Muang for 7 hours Now i'm looking for something to do in the area. As I took a nok air flight after the floods I know the airport has nothing for entertainment unless it has been added recently.

So please suggest things to do that don't involve going all the way into town. Anyone know if the Amari has layover deals i'm there from 9 am to 4 pm. Is there anything cheap I can do want to save the $50 if possible.

I would probably take a taxi to Future Park Rangsit, a good way to kill a couple of hours.

This is from ubon to don muang then I have 7 hours in airport before flying to sydney via KL.

don muang has a skytrain stop which would make it easy to get into the city (not that its that far in the first place) and back without fighting traffic. if its a saturday or sunday then JJ (chatacuk) market is near by with loads of good deals if you want to spend your time picking up souvenirs.

When did they extend the skytrain out to Don Muang?

Agree that Future Park Rangsit is a good option. Wander around, eat, get a massage (near the upstairs food court near Big C), catch a movie - although you may want to walk to the Major cinemas as opposed to the cinema in Future, as I find it has better selection with English soundtrack. Major also has bowling. If you're into electronics and computer stuff, a walk around Zeer Rangsit - about mid way between Don Muang and Future - can also waste some time. There's a good (real) massage place in Zeer at the bottom of the escalator near Tops.

There was a soapy on the top floor of the airport hotel called "after flight" or so. Not cheap but a clean transition solution; get a happy ending and then head for some snacks on the ground floor prior to board the flight on which you'll nap like a baby!
