Motorized Gate Opener

Featured Replies

Sorry to bother you with this question, but the automatic gate opener was already built in when we bought the house and I have no clue where I could either buy a new one or get repair of the control electronics. The motor works, the gate moves some 40 cm in one direction and then reverts for around 25 cm. I can therewith, or by lifting it out of the gear wheel, open and close.

Can anybody please give me a contact for repair or purchse of a replacement.

Thanks,

Eric

Global House, HomePro and serious builder's merchants sell them from about 19,000 up so they would be a good place to ask There is also a branch of PAT who supply their own range (although you can see them at HomePro. Rumour has it that the brands that use Italian motors and electronics are better than the Chinese ones.

Somewhere around CM there's a guy selling a unit that operates from your phone.

Sounds like an electronics problem.

A motorized gate opener.. Doesn't that partly defeat the purpose of having kids?

We have a motorised gate opener that is controlled by standard remotes and from our mobiles using a dedicated Dtac SIM on PAYG installed in the motor unit. The mobile can be used to open, close, lock, unlock and to check the status of the gate - useful if you are not sure that you closed it when you left in a hurry!!!. It operates very quietly and the flashing light gives fellow drivers a warning that a car is either going to drive into or out of our driveway, very useful as we are at a T junction.

The guys who installed it were very good and did a very neat job. You can reach them on 05324 9279 .

Thanks guys.

Additional phone numbers of repair technicians would be helpful, as I don't really like to spend the bucks for a replacement.
