Dear Friends,

So a package has arrived for me, but apparently the address was not formatted correctly, so it did not deliver. According to the latest update, Thailand Post is trying to reconfirm the address.

I was able to input my tracking number in the Thailand Post website, so I know that it's here, but the results returned are vague.

Is there somewhere that I can go to pick-up this package? I emailed the address on the website for more info and awaiting a response.

Thanks

Jacob

It depends on where you live and where is the next biggest sorting office, I know in my area that the main office is on Tiwanon

Is it EMS or registered airmail ?

It was sent DHL and then turned over to the post office with a tracking number, so not sure how that is officially registered.

Never seen a DHL or Fedex parcel delivered by post office...

Weird...

Tracking number can be used on DHL website or Thai post office website ?

DHL. you are fuc_ked, but on a bright side not as bad as fedex. They are probably calculating the import tax rather than the address itself.

I had a import tax on my documents from fedex. Crazy people

Firstly, go to the DHL office and cry blue murder that they have done this.

Secondly, as mentioned, call, don't visit, each of the large post offices near you and quote the number and see if they have it.

Visit the one that does acting the dumb farang and not leave until you have it. They will try to extort you for handing it over especially if they know there is something valuable inside. However play dumb and keep giving them the number.

Finally complain like hell to DHL where it was dispatched. Unacceptable.

The nearest post office is Phra Kanong. Just up from the BTS, opposite Rama 4. it is big so you should be able to find it,. Take your tracking info there. That is where it will be.

Unless it is big and is subject to duty then it will be at the Hua Lampong , post office customs Dept.

Not the case of DHL...it was sent per regular postal service which the Germans call DHL

In Germany DHL and post is the same. They send per DHL, but really it is sent per post service. Very confusing for non germans.

Thanks VocalNeal! I suspect it's a large package as I shipped 4 large canisters of protein powder, so I will check with Hua Lampong.

I just answered another duty question. Usually they issue an indexed request to visit Hua Lampong. If you go there with your address they may not be able to quickly locate it, but they are very efficient so.

I would go to Phra Khanong and ask first they will have it sorted by address. You have to pass it on the BTS to get to Hua Lampong.
