The difference is that guys with money who end up in thailand are usually only here because nobody wants of them anywhere else. The poor ones are here because they wanted to come to thailand and it wasnt for a relationship

Umm not really and I am not being forced out. I see it like checking into a hotel, finding out after a while the hotel it falling apart, all facade and no substance, the staff are ineffective, disloyal, cheats and thieves and only interested in getting as much money out of me as possible. SoI am checking out and going back the serviced apartment that is all quality. Not home, but I don't want to go home.

As for harm - who cares? I don't buy it that they are enslaved. They make a choice. Simple as that. I'm not being a hypocrite because I do not partake though.

I don't have cash flow problems so can't comment on that part. However, I do agree that a lot of people who live here grumbling is often driven by their lack of disposable income meaning they can't gang bang their pension away anymore.

Perhaps I should phrase is "Of all the farangs in Thailand, the ones who are wanted, least put upon, and get their expectations met the most by Thailand and the population are sex tourists". Bit of a mouthful though.

No problem. On the second night in Pattaya got very drunk and woke up with a really cute BG next to me - had no memory & she said 'you very drunk I take care". Really hungover so got in the shower and much to my surprise see joined me. Next day we went to Koh Samet for ten days & at that time it was a great place. Of course paid for her time. A few years later decided to again holiday in Thailand, but in those few years had changed dramatically, for me the "gloss" was gone. However met a Thai female in Phuket who I eventually married and we lived in Oz for 17 years. Now retired & live in her home town - yes you guessed it - Pattaya.

Personally I don't mind Thailand (of course their are some small, some big irritations). Generally I am comfortable to keep to myself and when I want to, socialise with my large extended Thai family (who don't ask for money). I don't mix much with other farangs as I find many of them depressing with their poor little me stories and how they don't like Thai's. Why they haven't made the same decision as you & relocated to another country is beyond me.

Nope, I was introduced to my future wife (by her sister) with "This is your wife, this is your farm you live together, what do you think?".

The future wife couldn't speak English, I couldn't speak Thai.

Zero resources or effort needed on my part (apart from the money for the bus ticket up to the village).
