Woman held at knife point during South Pattaya burglary

PATTAYA:--The owner of a rented room in South Pattaya was tied up and threatened at knife-point while her room was ransacked by two men wearing Balaclavas.

In the early hours of Saturday, Khun Tosapon aged 31 was awoken by two men who had already broken into her room. One of the men placed a knife by her throat and told her to stay silent or she would be killed. One of the men ordered her to remove her clothes as he intended to sexually assault her. She managed to persuade the men to only steal items from her room and not assault her.

A Mobile Phone,a Laptop Computer, a digital camera and 1,000 Baht in cash were stolen from the 5th floor room at the Yujalern Apartments on Pattaya Second Road. Police were called and removed items for forensic testing. During the incident one of the men accidentally removed his Balaclava which allowed Police to record a good description of him.
