Which is why I always use the train [yes, there is one] from Hualampong Station to Pattaya and return

Almost 5 hours by train to go to Pattaya is a bit long.

Its 3 hours not 5 hours by train and it unfortunely only runs on monday to friday at 7am (BKK) down and 2pm (pattaya) up maybe all the farang in pattaya should make a fuss to get extra trains on weekends and in the night time.

The accident happened at an entrance to the motorway. The van with the 4 Germans and the Thai driver had not taken this entrance to the motorway but it was driving at high speed on the left lane, which is supposed to be used by cars entering the motorway to accelerate.

It crashed head-on into a truck that was parked on this lane. The front part of the van was flattened (until about the middle of the vehicle).

The driver and 3 of the Germans died. They were one family of whom father, mother and son died. The teen-age daughter survived. Money and passports of the occupants disappeared. The survivor was brought to Chonburi Hospital and the embassy arranged further transport to BNH Hospital in Bangkok. She had to be operated 2 times and is now in good condition. She has already been repatriated to Germany by her insurance (ADAC).

The funeral of her relatives will be in Germany next week.

50% of Thais drive like teenagers thinking they are in a grand prix, 40 % drive like grandmothers and10% have chaffuers.

No traffic laws means drive however you want, never having instruction nor patience or common sense. Hope I never need an ambulance since everyone else here drives like they are going to a fire. Children behind tinted windows, no smaile there - why?
