A farang friend of mine bought a motorbike from another farang who was leaving the country and he doesn't have a green book. He's already been fleeced of $35k baht by some unscrupulous operator who was supposed to get all the necessary documentation and nothing appeared. He's been told that he needs a signed bill of sale and passport copy of the seller. Has anyone got any advice on this? He owns the bike but needs the necessary documentation to sell it. It shouldn't be that hard to register a bike for the first time....should it?

I have a friend in a similar quandary, the seller went home for a visit and died! Now he has a motorbike and no title!
