Hi,

I have tried to search forum but the only post I see are concerning Thai wives, my wife and I will be renting a house long term in Pattaya from Jan next year, I work offshore in Qatar 28/28 so can enter on normal tourist visa but my British wife will be staying in Thailand. I would like to know what is the best visa to apply for her please note she will not be working and we are less than 50 years old.

Although many stay here on ED visas and are by all means 'bogus' students, in your wifes case it would be beneficial and genuine if she took a Thai language course. When you are away a month at a time, will help her tremendously. Costs vary but with course, visa and extensions about 30k Baht.

Thanks for the replies, after discussing things with my good lady she agrees that a thai language / culture course will be ideal infact we both intend to enrole on such a course as soon as possible.
