Nisa
I would think it depends on your tastes and what you mean by "good". As a poster mentioned, Cabbage and Condemns is good (IMO too) but although it is Thai food it is westernized a bit. Is this good? I would think it depends on your tastes and what you mean by good. Not sure if you mean clean, upscale restaurant or just good tasting food which might include a McDonalds' cheeseburger for some and fried crickets or chicken feet for others .... while a good bar might be one with a pool table and another person might prefer go-go dancers or one that has the best wine list. khunron13
There are plenty of good restaurants on Soi 8. Det. 5 Bar & Restaurant is my favorite.

ScouseTommy
Cheap and really good food in Jools bar soi 4 if you fancy the walk. Also Mulligans Irish bar across the road in soi 11 is doing some good food as well!
Bpuumike
Or just hang out at the bar on the corner of Soi 5. Great for 'people/street watching' and smoking too on the outside. Food is good though a tad expensive but run by a very solid Thai family, no rip-offs there.
KHR1010
The basement of the Landmark Hotel has The Huntsman Pub, consistently good Thai and Western food. There are happy hour specials and other promotions tot look at as well. On Sukhumvit between soi 6 & 4.
Soi Sauce
Stroll over to Terminal 21 and you'll find a large selection of all the food you can imagine.
Sateev
Since this doesn't seem restricted to Thai food, Chicken shwarma sandwiches, far corner of first soi on the right, as you head up Sukhumvit Soi 4 (away from Sukhumvit Rd.) Make sure you try the green chili sauce, which is not normally on the tables. Other good Arabic food on that same soi, too. Dosa King in Suk. soi 11/1 for S. Indian food, Mrs. Balbir's across the same soi for Northern. Anyone remember Hair Design on 11/1? Dosa King is in that space. Fond memories of that place (Hair Design), great New Year's parties. WALSHYBFC
Italian on soi 11 is fantastic, called Limoncello, you get a lot of Thai people in there. It does close for a few hours in the afternoon after lunchtime. On your left about 500 metres down from sukhumvit.
