Crime 89-Year-Old Found Dead in Sack: Police Hunt Taxi Driver
Motorbike Taxi Driver Arrested for Murder of Elderly Woman in Thailand Photo: Bangkok Post A motorbike taxi driver has been arrested on Koh Samui for the murder of 89-year-old Noonil Kitparb, whose body was found in a sack in a paddy field in Muang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The suspect, Charoen "Tia" Srichamras, allegedly lured the elderly woman away from a shopping mall on May 9 before strangling her and abandoning her body along Therdphra Kiat Road. Srichamras is also accused of stealing valuables worth approximately 250,000 baht, including a valuable gold necklace, a gold ring, and 10,000 baht in cash from Kitparb. Security cameras last captured them together riding a motorbike, with Kitparb as the passenger, in a housing estate. Her body was discovered days later. A joint task force comprised of Region 8 Police and Nakhon Si Thammarat City Police, led by Pol Maj Gen Pornchai Khajornklin and Pol Maj Gen Lertchai Champathong, apprehended Srichamras. He was found at a relative's house on Koh Samui. Upon approach by authorities, he attempted to flee into a nearby field but was swiftly captured. Police state that he has confessed to the crime. This arrest brings a critical development in the case, as police continue their investigation to ensure justice for the victim and her family. Will you be getting boosted now that Covid is back in the headlines in Thailand?
Do need to get a tetanus shot, or not. As the only thing I've had in the last 20+ years. And only 2X maybe, I think. Never stayed current in the USA with tetanus. Not so current here either. Haven't had any other vaccinations, since a new born. Half of them, not needed, or didn't work, since having chicken pox, measles & mumps. Haven't got a clue what was given back in 1954. Knowing my parents, I was given the minimal required, if any were. -
