Motorbike gang assault and rob man following minor road accident in Jomtien

PATTAYA:--A 23 year old man was subjected to an assault and robbery early on Saturday Morning in Jomtien after he was involved in a minor road accident with one of 20 motorbikes travelling in a group.

Police were called to the Sukhumvit Road opposite the Tesco-Lotus store and met with Khun Sataporn. He explained how he was travelling on the Sukhumvit Road on his way back home when the group of 20 motorbikes approached him. They were travelling the wrong way down the road and as they passed the victim one of the 20 motorbikes came into contact with Khun Sataporn’s bike and both bikes fell to the floor.

Khun Sataporn was concerned that he had damaged the other bike and its driver may be injured so approached and was immediately set-upon by the gang

If it was an actual "Bike Gang" then the kid would have seen the name of the club on their colours right? Or does this article's author refer to a bunch of kids on honda clicks as a Bike Gang?

Most of the actual clubs here in Pattaya would not be traveling the wrong way down a street so I think the don't mean a "Club"

The report I see does not mention a 'club'. More than likely a gang of kids out on their small bikes. Either way it does seem like an accident waiting to happen with them all riding the wrong way down the road.

I could well imagine that this gang of lads would have chased the other m/c if he had not stopped and the outcome could have been a lot worse.

Yet to rob and steal this man's bike after an accident is a disgusting thing to do and I cannot see he would have been able to do anything about it at all. Typical gang mentality, sadly.

I bet he wished he had used a truck instead of the bike. Then he might had put down a few of them.

always seems strange to me these incidents when there's plenty of number plates to be seen and rememered, nobody ever does it. The reverse situation last week where a large gang had one shot, nobody took the number of the guys car doing the shooting. Maybe me, but seems logical during or just after to at least remember one plate number.
