January 25, 200620 yr OIL PRICES HAVE GONE UP BY 40 SATANG PER LITER THIS MORNING. PTT announced that it has raised its retail prices by another 40 satang per liter this morning, following upward adjustment in global market. Vice Managing Director of PTT, Chaiwat Choorit (ชัยวัฒน์ ชูฤทธิ์) revealed that PTT has increased the retail prices of Benzene and Diesel fuel by another 40 satang per liter, effective at 5am this morning. He explained that the latest adjustment was due to rising oil prices in the global market. Following today’s adjustments, the retail prices for benzene 95 in Bangkok and vicinities will be at 27.24 baht per liter, while benzene 91 will sell for 26.44 baht per liter. Gasohol 95 will be sold at 25.74 baht per liter, and diesel fuel is priced at 24.69 baht per liter. Mr. Chaiwat said that PTT will monitor the oil prices closely, but urged the consumers to conserve energy to relieve the burden from oil prices. January 25, 200620 yr Still cheap by most standards. Here in India the prices are twice that level, but the economy is similar.
January 26, 200620 yr Keep those increases coming - the more expensive it gets the less people will drive, find cleaner solutions and reduce CO2 emissions.
