Long-time former resident, offshore industry by trade. I got tired of Google showing me the same twenty tourist places while the 'interesting' soi bars that catch our interest, and we actually drink in don't readily exist online, so I built my own map. It covers any city in Thailand live: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Songkhla, anywhere. But I've spent the most months on Pattaya specifically. Most RG58 cable seems to have just a few strands of aluminium shield - totally useless as the shield and you can't easily solder to aluminium.... 'Proper' RG58 has a thick copper shield :) Is there a cable/wire shop in Pattaya? Thanks!

This week I visited my urologist at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. He was more than willing to give me a prescription for ED drugs, but the prices at the hospital are astronomical. Yes, offering some confidence in one's future here would attract more wealthy expat retirees. Or, make it 2,000,000 baht, or similar, and stop the agents. No grandfathering, and give current expats 1 year to deposit the extra money, or leave. Job done, and they get to capitalize Thai banks. I know many will troll me for such a comment, but Thailand is not running a charity. There was an article in the news this week they are targeting more wealthy tourists. We've all heard that before. We know they have no control of the wealth of who comes for a 2 week holiday, but they have a lot of control over who can come and live here, and who gets to remain living here.
