Chittychangchang Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 It would be interesting to know where everyones partner or spouse comes from originally in the Land Of Smiles. Apolgies for the inacurracy of the geographic make up of the poll. Many thanks for voting.
David48 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Yep ... south ... I voted south. Australia is south of Thailand. I'll get my coat.
h90 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Yep ... south ... I voted south. Australia is south of Thailand. I'll get my coat. You should have voted for the Islands than, if she is from that big Island called Australia.
coolhandjoe Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Yep ... south ... I voted south. Australia is south of Thailand. I'll get my coat. "Originaly" Didn't know Thais came from Oz, maybe you mistook an aborigne.

pattayadingo Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Venus. At least somewhere not of this planet that I am aware of. Definitely not a Vulcan. No logic 1
DrTuner Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Next poll is, is your Thai partner a General's daughter, yes ? I bet it'd get 99% yes answers and one false click.

arthurwait Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 OP the topics been done a few times before that's why you're getting the responses you're getting. It always goes the same way.

Popular Post GuestHouse Posted September 6, 2012 Popular Post Posted September 6, 2012 It is totally beyond me why anyone would introduce any information about their wife, g/f, children or anyone they care about here on TV. Doin so is invariably an excuse for the bitter and twisted section of TV membership to launch their snide and nasty comments. 3

WebBangkok Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I don't really care what anyone thinks on here. My wife is from Bangkok "apparently" father is Chinese and mother is half Portuguese half Thai. But the wifey looks 100% Thai. Some of you already know me and the wifey, so I could not give a Sheet....
WebBangkok Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Also the little wife is from Isaan (beautiful women factory)
JurgenG Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Wife's family comes from China, both sides. I find it's a shame my wife completely denies her chinese ancestry, it would make a very interesting story. From what I know : On the mother side, great grand father chinese, quite poor (very poor ?) when he arrived in Thailand. The family, through three generation, moved from Nong Khai to Korat to finally end up in Bangkok. On the father side, as I understand ancestors were quite successful chinese fish traders who settle 2 generation ago in Bangkok. I have Chinese friends from Cambodia and Singapore, all are very proud of their ancestors and all had at least one time in their life visit the Chinese place where their family comes from. In Thailand, they are not interested at all. Every time I talk about it, they very quickly talk about something else. Weird !

When he Thai/Chinese discussin starts well.... It is only a matter of time eh?
travelmann Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I asked her and she said from her Mums gim???
David48 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I wouldn't wish to speculate, but wasn't StreetCoyboy's from Portobello? Maybe I am remembering the posting wrongly? .
Chittychangchang Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 I should have put 2 more options on the poll from the comments i've been reading - i.e: 7) Indiginous to a country outside of Thailand of Chinese descent. 8) Met in a country from outside of Thailand having had a re-invented questionable past.
