is it free? I don't think so.

Also, have you heard of money laundering? Do you think that Paypal is exempt and do not monitir accounts no matter how clever you think you are.

Best way to send is to declare.

MrZM, are you not the chap who complained about being ripped off of 40bt at The Avenue Cinema?

You really do seem to be as the Thais put it, a 'cheap charlie'

Blimey, are you that hard up mate, c.mom,.....

If you ever want to join me at the Hilton for dinner your more than welcome.

Rich men are rich because they know how.

Nooooooo, Bangkok Hilton is out, sorry. Can go for a BigMac though. thumbsup.gif

The exchanges rate 1-2% below the market price.

That' actually not so bad if sending relatively small amounts. If 5,000 Baht costs between 50 and 100 Bt, seems quite reasonable.

I too have had great experiences with using PayPal - very cheap for small amounts, but only good when the recipient isn't in a hurry for the hard cash.

You need two separate accounts to be able to "fund yourself" from one bank and transfer to another.

And don't leave significant money in the actual PayPal account, as they do occasionally freeze accounts with "suspicious" levels of activity, takes forever to clear up.

So not a panacea, but understanding the limitations a useful tool.
