Hi guys, just made my appointment online for the UK visa application. Will be taking my gf along to Regent house to submit all her stuff.

Just a few questions:

1. We answered lots of questions online before getting the appointment which we have now printed - is this the application filled in and done? Now we just have to sign it and submit it along with all the supporting documents? What about the "General visa VAF1A" form on their site? Does this need to be filled in and submitted also?

2. Are there any other things besides her passport, the supporting documents, 2 x passport sized photos and the 3,900 baht cashier check I should take along?

Many thanks

Just to clarify, it's your girlfriends application and she will be taking you along, you will not be allowed in the VFS office.

I'm assuming your girlfriend has submitted her application online, that would have been on the online form which is the equivilant online version of the VAF1A, she needs to print off a hard copy and take it with her, she doesn't need the standards VAF1A.

You're ok with the documents, make sure she includes a copy of yours, she will have her biometric details captured at the application centre, and then it's wait and see.

I have amended the title of your thread.

You can get the cashier cheque from the bank in the foyer of Regent House.

The first time we went, we took a casier cheque from Kasikorn Bank Chiang Mai but this was not acceptable.

Be sure and strong that you enter the proper VFS office its very easy to get sidetracked into what looks like the office but its just a agent... I nearly had a row as they were dragging my wife into their office and she was too polite to resist!
