These are lost souls, with no lives. How you hold the US responsible for this ridiculous film, made by a hateful idiot, is beyond me. Nobody with any self esteem, sense of purpose in life, or one shred of real spirituality would join these freak show protests. Come on. How low can you stoop? Where do you get your inner guidance from? Or is there no voice inside, at all? Have any of these non-spiritual protesters ever spent even one hour of their lives in prayer, meditation, or contemplation? I seriously doubt it. This has absolutely nothing to do with Spirit. This is 100% ego driven drivel.

Haha, the old saying of be careful what you ask for resonates. This little stunt could place Romney in control and he us a religious nutbagger.

He will probably step up actions against foolishness (I think we need to step out or away and let them act like fools), but more importantly he is going to start cutting off the flow of money to countries like these, including Thailand. Perhaps it best we step away and cut off everything, money, military aide, government supported humanitarian efforts, financial support and everything.

Sucks we keeping giving my hard earned tax paying dollar to nutbags that hate us. Rather the money go to my children who appreciate it.

Next we'll havea huge numbers of british royalists descending

on the french embassy to demonstrate about a pair of titties

or even shoot the poor French Ambassador.

Or maybe some english extremists will start terror attacks in

Irland for publishing them too?

Well, suppose not. No such passion for violence in the UK ;-)

It is time we got back to our biblical roots and started killing all sorts of people ... I mean how can we call ourselves true Christians without some killing of those different than us? crazy.gif

The most evil and dangerous book ever published, the same one the Muslim, Christian and Jewish faiths came out of ... http://www.evilbible.com/Murder.htm

Good link, thanks.

I only wish the URL were different in order for it to have more credibility because it really does show how all these biblical religions are hate filled but I guess the followers believe God's views on murder, rape, child sex and so on change as societies change.

You need to step back from your own understandings to see how they can blame the America. They don't come from a country where those in powers cannot put their foot down about something designed solely to inflame others and where an internet company in that country can spread the insults. Even here in Thailand there are certain words that can land you in jail and lines you don't cross. Don't feel like getting too into the debate now but free speech is already limited in the US (example: certain porn, swearing in certain situation, trademark type stuff and so on) and it can be considered illogical that there is no law against speech whose sole or overwhelming purpose is to insight others while serving little to no value to the public.

But the bottom line is this film was just the tip of the iceberg or the straw that broke the camels back (once again) and if views of American policy were not as they are, this wouldn't have caused as much outrage and protests ... this is just another example of religion being used to flame people's already heightened anger towards another group.

Religion is a very touchy subject to begin, many people have different views even if they follow the same religion. From what I have read, seen and heard, most religious laws, are first heard from said "God". Then scriptures have been written by the human, which is usually always male as the "Prophet". How do we know if what they wrote was true or untrue. We all need something to believe in but not to the extreme of world domination/terrorism. It is time for all religions to ask themselves what is this fighting all for? My honest answer is F$%k all!

Lets all do a review of the video some in Islam have produced - the reporter gets head cut off with dull knife or the women is stoned because she can't prove it was rape or maybe the one where the resort in Bali goes up in pieces. No - I know - in Thailand we can review the old budda on the hill get blown up by the religiously tolerant Muslims. I am not offended by them because I am an infidel - I just take it a shut up.

religion has been the cause of most conflicts/wars since year dot! muslims have wormed their way into all countries and cultures. when i was young it would be unthinkable to imagine a british airways hostess would lose her job because she refused to remove her crucifix necklace (that her gran probably gave her at her christening) and would then have to go to that farce we know as the European human rights court. and any culture/religion that stones women to death is not worth a second glance in MHO

It is an organized put up job. Sure the film is all everyone says,

and it is blindingly stupid, but the protests are being manufactured,

and sometimes they are large, and sometimes they aren't worth the effort.

The demonstrations do show the hypocrisy involved :

Don't protest the Muslim on Muslim killing in the south.

But do protest the idiotic work of 1 NON-American MAN in America.

Who on his own;

is abusing Freedom Of Speech,

abusing all Americans and their hospitality in the process,

and of course

abusing all Muslims too,

This is their supposed reasons to make America die.

Hypocrisy, but the leaders want an emotional response world wide,

not a logical response, because the logical response is to shake your head and forget it.

How about America retaliates and tells all Muslims they have 24 hours to get the hell out of the USa...?? And Canada does the same thing ...?? And all other western countries ... ??

It is interesting to note that the "average" Moslem in the USA did not get so upset... There are large communities of them living normal lives in such states as California, Texas, Michigan, New York... They understand how freedom of expression works in the USA (including from idots like this guy that made the amateur film). Most Moslems in the USA are hard working like the rest of us busy paying their bills and trying to provide a better life for their children. They are also well educated so are able to think for themselves. What I saw happen in Sydney a few days ago there, totally surprised me. Their Moslem protest against the US became very violent and out of control. I felt sorry for the police who were not expecting such an agressive protest.

If these guys want to march up and down the road, let them. They aren't really hurting anyone, and if they want to live life being thoughtless retards then that is their prerogative.

What I do have a problem with is the way the US government has handled the more violent cases. What is the point of having US Marines and DS at every embassy as well as inconvenient and invasive security procedures if it is unable to stop the embassy grounds from being breached and government personnel from getting killed?

How far into the embassy must these people get until security personnel are allowed to do their jobs?

I totally agree, as soon as those idiots breach any US Embassy walls anywhere in the world let the MARINES and security do what they were trained for and that is to protect US Sovereign land. Could you imagine a foreign embassy getting overran in the United States? It would never happen regardless of what that country did.

Here's a video i found on youtube from Phil inBangkok.

The one thing I find interesting is that NONE OF THE INTERANTIONAL broadcasting news channels have referred to demonstrations for this movie anywhere in Asia ..? They only refer to the ones in Libya, Egypt and another Afghanistan killing using this as an excuse for blowing up more American soldiers which has been going on anyway for months.. but today was because of this movie ... Oye !!

World Trade center was no different in terms of the reason behind the attack was again US Policy and not religion. Not sure where your reality is coming from in terms of seeing any excuses in my post but I do know much of the world's hare right now also revolves around people seeing and believing things that are not reality.

Contrary to popular belief, an embassy is not Sovereign Land of the foreign country. It is the host country's responsibility to protect the embassy. If you believe that US Embassies are the land of the US then ask yourself why the US doesn't install nukes or military bases there or why a crime of local civilian at an embassy is prosecuted locally and a host nation certainly has the right to kick all the embassy staff out of the country. While I am sure marine personnel have a right to protect the live's of Embassy staff, I m not sure about the leased land / building and having the US military engage in killing citizens of other nations on their soil is a very touchy subject that could have huge repercussions. Rules of engagement always don't seem rational but military personnel are bound by them. I agree I wish the Marines were able to mow down anyone making it over the wall and posing a real threat but the reality is it is a touchy subject.

I just cannot comprehend why these protestors are demonstrating again the US government. As I understand, the film was made by a guy born in Egypt who happens to now live in USA. It was done with no government support or sponsorship.

If this guy was living in Paris or Montreal, would they be protesting outside the France or Canadian Embassy. I think not. I am definitely not American nor pro American but cannot see the logic of these protests.

How could you see a logic when there is none at all.

Just reread this ... mean to type "much of the world's hate" and not hare. Also to be clear, I am making no judgement in the post about US Policy but simply saying the attacks were not about religion. Religion was just a tool to use to get people to carry out the attacks. Even in traditional conflicts brainwashing is used to get people to kill others. It would seem that given conditions such as poverty, low education and so on in some of these nations that folks tend to turn to religion more (just like people do in prison) and they become easy picking for those who want to use them for their own bidding. It would make no difference if they are Christians or Muslims as both are biblical and both have many many quotes from God and those who speak for God whose words can be used to not only approve but also praise violence.

It may have been against US policy but it was based in A religious belief. Write a book that does not make the Muslims look good or a cartoon and you will see religious people out protesting some peaceable others not so but the reason for them is based in Religionsad.png .

Anti-US protest forces embassy to shut early

The Nation

Thai Muslims gather outside the US embassy compound on Wireless Road in Bangkok yesterday to protest against an anti-Islam film, before dispersing without incident.

BANGKOK: -- Five companies of anti-riot policemen were deployed to guard the US Embassy in Bangkok yesterday as about 400 Muslims staged a protest against the US government over an anti-Islam film.

"Destroy America!" the protesters chanted, waving placards near the embassy, which closed at noon ahead of the demonstration.

They continued the peaceful protest until rain began to fall. "We don't want any violence," said protest spokesman Niyaz, who claimed the demonstrators came from all over Thailand.

"Islam is the religion of peace, but if someone attacks us we'll defend ourselves," he said, declining to give his family name.

"The ones who made the film should be punished," Niyaz said of the film "Innocence of Muslims", an amateurish production that was posted on the video-sharing website YouTube.

About 750 policemen were deployed at the embassy at 12.20pm. Metropolitan Police commissioner Pol Lt-General Kamronwit Thoopkrajang said the officers came from the 191 special taskforce, Lumpini police station and anti-riot taskforce.

Kamronwit said plainclothes policemen were also deployed to observe the protesters.

Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung yesterday promised to guard all US businesses and organisations in Bangkok.

As a host country, the Thai government had to protect US interests in the Kingdom, he said, adding that so far, the government has not detected evidence of any third-party group coming in to create violence against Americans.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said yesterday that police were ordered to guard the US Embassy to achieve full security.

"We decided to close the embassy early today after being tipped off by Thai police that there was going to be a protest this afternoon," US Embassy spokeswoman Kristin Kneedler told Deutsche Presse-Agentur.

"We're not aware of any real threats to US citizens in Thailand," she said.

Meanwhile, AFP reported that an al-Qaeda franchise in North Africa yesterday urged Muslims to storm US embassies and kill American envoys in Muslim countries in protest over the film, a monitoring group said.

"We call on Islam's youths to take after the lions of Benghazi [in Libya] by pulling down America's flags that are flying over all of its embassies in our capitals," said al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), according to IntelCenter.

AQIM urged people "to burn them [the flags], to stomp them underfoot, and to kill its [uS] ambassadors and representatives or expel them and purge our land of their filth in revenge for the honour of the best of mankind," referring to Islam's Prophet Mohammed.
