Drunk Passenger Thrown from Pickup Truck in Fatal Accident Near Khun Dan Dam
Picture from responders. An incident occurred near Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam on the evening of December 9, when a 43-year-old man, reportedly intoxicated and riding in the bed of a pickup truck, was thrown out during a turn, resulting in his death. The incident took place around 17:00, in Hin Tang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Nayok. Rescue workers from Ruamkatanyu Foundation responded to the scene at a curve near the dam. Upon arrival, they found the body of the victim, identified as Mr. Preecha, 43, from Si Sa Ket Province. He was lying on the median strip of the road. The victim sustained a fractured left arm, abrasions on both arms, and a severe forehead wound. A white pickup truck was parked nearby, driven by Mr. Charoen, 35, who appeared intoxicated but was able to respond to questions. According to Mr. Charoen, the two men had attended a seminar with 500 participants at a nearby resort. After drinking alcohol in the afternoon, they decided to visit Khun Dan Dam. The victim had been sitting on an ice cooler in the back of the pickup despite warnings to ride in the front seat. As the truck entered a curve, the victim fell out and suffered fatal injuries upon hitting the road. Authorities and medical personnel conducted a preliminary examination of the body before transferring it for further autopsy. Police are also investigating eyewitness accounts and reviewing nearby CCTV footage to clarify the circumstances of the accident. -- 2024-12-10 -

EV Owners Frustrated as Samui Ferries Restrict EV Transport Over New Year Period
That's a point. The only extra risk from EVs that I could see is that a the ferry operator may not be ready to handle a battery fire. -

EV Owners Frustrated as Samui Ferries Restrict EV Transport Over New Year Period
Just understand that Hybrids are 140x more likely to catch fire than an EV, and an ICE 20 to 60x more likely. How hard is that ??? When was the last vehicle you saw on the side of the road on fire (that had no been in a crash) - not social media hype and click-baiting... but the last time you saw in person a car on the side of the road ??... Have you ever seen that ? was it an EV ?? Its the same as SuperCars - the media would have us believe supercars are more likely catch fire because when one does catch fire it goes viral... but Fred's mini-down the road is of no interest to anyone. We should be approaching these topics with intelligence, not dumb paranoia or poorly focused pre-loaded agenda. -

Tyre Explosion at Ang Thong Repair Shop Leaves Worker Injured
Yes, in Prachinburi. Happens here alot as these small tyre repair shops never seem to have a proper cage surrounding the tyre when it's being inflated.
