Print Shops - Printing On Vinyl - Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

Any good recommendations for print shops that will a design print on vinyl?

Needs to be VERY durable, as the design will be out in full sun and all weather conditions.

Recommendations would be great. Approximate cost for say an A1 design would be a bonus.

Thank you!

I've noticed on those vinyl signs, some are much clearer/sharper than others. Is that to do with the printing quality or the quality of the graphic they use to print. Just wondered, because some of those signs look very striking and others look, well, ugh...!

There is World Art bottom soi 7 sirimangklajarn just mext to Lotus Pang hotel....and next door to them one or two others....as same businesses always tend to be holding hands.

budget for 350 bt/m2 for a low quality product and 550 bt/m2 for high quality.

remember the quality is dependant on the amount of coloured ink passing, so a slow pass, more ink, more durable, higher quality.. if 2 sides printing, twice the price.

also, to be aware many printers dont have a graphic artist on hand to do a design for you but if so, expect a fee of 300bt if you go with your design ideas but nothing else.

I cant speak for the print side of things Sally (which im sure must be a factor, thats why im seeking out a good quality print company), but yes, depends on the artist too.

If a photo is being used, the artist must make sure they have a high resolution image to start with, and that the psi is set high enough (if using photoshop) for any editing. For, once the image gets blown up, some pixilation may show up, making the image grainy looking and loses sharpness.

Vector graphics and text created in Illustrator (or similar) offers the best print quality imo, as there is no loss of resolution when blown up.

If photo images are needed, for me, the best solution is using a high psi image, edit in photoshop, then transfer it into illustrator, to add vectors graphics. Get the least loss of definition that way..imo. Others may have a better solution though, but thats what im personally familiar with.

Boonsom Printing on the first floor of Central Kda Suan Kaew.

Through the main entrance and towards the back, keep left all the way. Go passed the eye glass shops. You can look out the windows and see the well kept grassy area enclosed by the mall. Keep walking past the photo portrait shop and the print shop is in front of you and to your left a bit on the corner.

They do great work and are helpful as to what you need to bring them for the best print results. They do all sizes on vinyl. The owner speaks English well.
