Was hoping someone can suggest some good places for Thai food in this area. Nothing fancy, maybe an outdoors Issan type place, or somewhere with music / entertainment.

We used to live in the area.

Check out Baan Dok Mai.

It is on Sena Nikhom, down a drive between sois 10 and 12. Difficult to see when dark, but well worth it. Food is Northern style and very good. No loud music and it is set in a garden and Lanna style house. There is a yellow sign at the entrance of the drive on Sena.
