Thai Convicted Of Sexual Assault In Australia.

In civilized society, what are the alternatives? How do we prevent such a person doing this to another innocent person?

'Civilized' is just a made-up word. In todays' overpopulated world, there is only one surefire method: look after the victim, take care of the perp.

Can you give me an example of a word that is not made up?

I am sure he will be well looked after in His Majesties Hotel in Australia

there are some long termers in there that will be buying and selling his pound of flesh for 4 years

now thats a long time

one thing for sure is that he wont be the same man when he gets out

also sometimes when theres a public out cry the case is reviewed

the girl involved was very brave to stand up to the second rape in court

Thais rarely adapt well overseas the culture shock of an australian prison will hopefully drive him mad the opportunity of a smooth skinned thai boy should also provide some comfort for his fellow inmates

Sounds like a middle class thai brat who never heard the word no before in his sheltered bubble

Almost worth a week inside just to watch!

And you all thought the rapist was a problem.wink.png This guy wants to watch male rape in a prison so much he would almost commit a crime to get there. This thread is really bringing them out.

Sorry, I guess I should have said, how many of you guys would like to watch male rape in prison. I guess I don't have a life because I consider that and any kind of rape disgusting. Is that better?

This guy sounds like a nasty piece of work. Education in Australia is very expensive, this guy must come from a hiso family.

This evening a jury acquitted Punna-Ophasi of three charges which related to having sex with the woman in the spare room of her apartment.

But they found him guilty of one count of sexual intercourse without consent and one count of assault with intent to engage in sexual intercourse........The court heard Punna-Ophasi was in custody serving a two-and-a-half year prison term for a previous offence and would be deported if he was released.

Both violent crimes. If it was me I would lock you both up till you convinced a professional that the violent tendencies were under control.

That is the point you dolt, I have mine under control-seems you either deliberately misunderstand or dont have the capacity to.

Well, if someone told me, " I have to admit to having strong feelings for the need for vengeance, including doing serious damage to this man" I can read English. Strong Feelings is strong feelings. Substitute rape for damage and you get the idea. You are both sick. If a man admits on a public INTERNET forum that he has strong feelings towards vengeance and violence with a person he has never met. I'd lock him up. I think you both need help. You may be a nice guy but that is not normal. Vigilante violence and public hanging went out a while back.

Give it up chiangmaikelly you're embarrassing yourself. You clearly didn't read his first post properly. It's perfectly natural to experience strong feeling, what you do with them is the issue and that's what Dr. Robert's post stated.

It is not normal to want to harm a stranger. Soldiers and police have to harm people for the public good. I was a soldier, I had to kill people. I saw people who enjoyed combat, enjoyed killing and hurting people; I thought then and I think now they were sick.

He sounds a nasty piece of work better locked up for good, back home mummy or daddy would just have given a few police and a judge or two a bung and it would have been all over quickly and he would have been free to do the same again. Must be a shock fro some Thai youngsters to see what happens to nasty evil people in a civilised country

chaingmaikelly,

I beleive from what i have been told that they

put the rapists in with other rapists and the murderers,

so i would guess that they have plenty of spare time to do what they like to each other

and a newby would not last five minutes imho

anyway have no intentions of finding out first hand

Guess no affordable bargirls there for him to relieve his urges.

you are aware that it is generally foreigners who go for the bar girls, aren't you?

where did you get that one from then? Oh, do we need to define the difference between Karaoke, Escort etc??

He was sentenced to five years and eight months imprisonment, backdated to January 20, 2010.

But the court adjusted that sentence to four years and six months to take into account sentences for prior offences.

He will be eligible for parole on April 19 next year, but faces a likely deportation to Thailand.

The court heard a violent, unprovoked bashing just months after the sexual assault, for which Punna-Ophasi was convicted, was a contributing factor in the sentence.

This scum is most probably from a 'privileged' background, as such was given the chance that many Thai's can only dream of, and how does he show his thanks? He rapes an innocent girl, not satisfied with that, he without provocation he kicks the crap out of someone.

In my humble opinion where other countries fail in cases like this is that they should examine what the sentence would be in the offenders home country and give a like sentence.
