German restaurant destroyed by fire in Jomtien

PATTAYA:--Early on Sunday Morning, a fire destroyed a German-owned restaurant located at the Jomtien Complex close to Jomtien Beach.

Fire Rescue Units received reports of a fire at the location just after 2.30am and rushed to the scene. The restaurant, which has rooms for rent above it, was engulfed in flames and fire fighters battled for 30 minutes until the flames were extinguished.

The German owner of the business, Mr. John Darker aged 63 looked on as fire investigators moved in and confirmed that the likely cause of the fire was an electrical fault with a coffee machine.

No 3 not far from the truth, I suspect. Friends internet went down and they called out TOT, Engineers found the electric wiring in the 6 year old house had disintegrated, and shorted across their wires. They replaced DSL with new surface wiring and now working again.

How could they latte this happen? Surely, that machine must have bean regularly serviced.
