PATTAYA:--Six stolen bikes, one of which was recently taken from a Bike Rental Shop in Jomtien, were found by Police on Monday afternoon thanks to a GPS device fitted to one of the bikes.

The bikes were found hidden in undergrowth close to the home of Pattaya’s Mayor in Soi 12 off the Naklua Road. Police Colonel Somnook, Banglamung Police Chief led the investigation and was joined by the owner of the Bike fitted with GPS, Khun Somjate aged 31, who worked with Police to track the bike.

When officers arrived they found the other bikes which are presumed stolen. The total value of the stolen bikes is almost 500,000 Baht and the owners of the other five bikes are now being located and will be re-united with their vehicles.

looking at those 6 bikes how could they possibly be worth 500,000? They look to be scooters.

They all look like PCX150's which, priced at around 80000 baht apiece, comes pretty close to 500k.

Wow. that's a lot of money for a 150cc bike.
