Hi,

We will be conducting a pool water chemistry training program in late October in Pattaya. 1 Day. It will be taught in Thai, but we will also hold a 1 day program if there is enough demand for an English program. Email me or PM here if you're interested. This will be an intense, and information filled seminar. All attendees will be invited to participate in some hands on learning also, and all training will happen via a real-time LCD projector (e.g., we will demonstrate chemical adjustments clearly seen by on an overhead digital meter dispay). This is the same training we do for many 5-star hotels in Thailand.

The planned agenda:

1. Formulas & calculations essential for proper water balancing

2. What is "balanced water."

3. What chemicals are available in Thailand, and an overview of general pool operating costs

3. The role of a primary sanitizer (e.g., often chlorine, but not always); what it does and how

4. Total chlorine, combined chlorine & free chlorine; what are these?

5. What is ORP, and how is ORP dependent upon proper pH? Why is it now the preferred method of measurement?

6. What is pH; how to adjust pH upwards and downwards / chemicals available

7. What is alkalinity, and how is alkalinity related to pH, and therefore affects ORP.

8. What is chlorine stabilization, why is it needed, and how it is acheived

9. An overview of automated chemical feed systems and their benefits / drawbacks

10. Real time experimentation and hands-on learning; adjusting chemistry and seeing the results via LCD projector / digital meters

11. Close and Q&A.
