46 year old Man attempts suicide at his East Pattaya family home

PATTAYA:--A 46 year old man, thought to be suffering from Tuberculosis and recently diagnosed with the HIV/AIDS virus attempted to take his own life by slashing his throat at his family home in East Pattaya, early on Friday Morning.

The 71 year old father of the man, called Police after his son, Khun Choochart, told his father that if anyone came near him, he would continue to harm himself and would also harm others. It was up to Police Sub-Lieutenant Noppadon to negotiate with the man to put the knife down and accept medical treatment.

Eventually he agreed to put down the weapon and was given the medical assistance he urgently required after slashing his own neck and losing a considerable amount of blood.
