Waterloo Posted October 17, 2012 Share Posted October 17, 2012 If memory serves at the time a coa was over £400 to the border agency. a) Wife was a widow so proof of eligabilty to marry was required from the location were she is registerded we were both living in the UK at the time & still are c) Wife registered in Pattayya, MIL living in Surin 500-600km a full days travel d) applications had to be done in person by someone with a letter of authority e) Documents had to be couried from the uk, death cert for one f) Documents had to be translated in both countrys g) Documents then had to be couried back to the uk i) Travel costs Accommadation costs I know a £1000 sounds a lot of money, but it all adds up when stuff you need doing is half way roud the world Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The UK fees seems cheap compared to the 191000 baht for Thai PR If you are married to a Thai, you don't need to do PR, straight to citizenship and dead cheap, 5000bht I think.
