Drive Thru At Nonthaburi Immigration

Featured Replies

Today had to do my 90 day reporting, drove into the car park then noticed they have a drive thru, no not McDonalds but for 90 day reporting. At the time I was there it was not quite finished but looks well on the way.

The drive-thru is going to be interesting in that the Nonthaburi office requires a copy of your face page of your passport before they sign off on your 90 day report form. If you get one of the new immigration officers, you better have a copy of every page of your passport unless they have been instructed to use only the first page.

As I said in another post, I make it a rule to have a copy of every page no matter any reason to go to immigration. Plus they use the bar code to print a copy of the TM47 which means a printer in each booth as well as a bar code reader. Then you have to sign the form.

I hope they have instructions online before they open the drive-thru. It will save time but there are a lot of questions that have to be addressed before the drive-thru service.

Like I said I was there yesterday, and had all passport pages done, also I printed my own TM47 and not theirs, which was accepted.

Had a bit of a problem that caused some extra work for them, they could not find my departure stamp from Thailand but found an arrival one, eventually after 3 of them looked they found it, means those who send their passports to get visas from friends in other countries might get found out.

Was there this morning (Oct 17), and one officer confirmed the drive-through "may" open soon...but inside the main building, business was running smooth as silk...
