Phnom Pehn - Tourist Visa Ok To Get There?

Featured Replies

Hello there. Looking for a new tourist visa but fancy a change from Laos. PP is more fun and I would prefer to go there. Does the embasy/consulate issue TV's there?

Thanks so much

TLS

They do, but:

- single only

- takes 4 work days to issue instead of the usual 2.

Thanks Mario... And you again! This forum would have a hard time without you being around with advice. Much appreciated.

Can I ask you... Is Penang as quick as Loas right now? I havent been to the Penang consulate in a few years. I cant think of any other alternative.... Dont fancy Singapore too much and I have just been there. Is Vietnam an option?

Laos is apply day 1 get it back the next (work) day.

PP is apply day 1 and get it back on day 4. All others in the region are apply day 1 and get back day 2 as far as I know.

Vietnam seems to be an option, but not many reports about that. Indonesia is also an option.

For a double enry, try Laos (Vietianne or Savhnanakhet), as that has the best chance.

Bali does 3 entry visas with 6 month validity.

I would skip Penang because they only do single entry and have been reprted to deny visas if you got an extension of your 60 days stay.

To all: just pay a reputable lawyer 20,000 baht to get your visa ?

Thats possible without obtaining something dodgy? Im not implying it would be dodgy of course.... Im only asking as I dont know. I recall horror stories 10 years ago of unsuspecting ferangs getting dodgy visas and then being locked up for a few days....

It is often based on researching business possibilities.

The situation you are talking about is about visa agencies putting fake stamps in your passport and pocketting the money.
