Most odd. Back in the late 80's and early 90's the Lampang Station officers street rep leant more towards the casual violence side of Thai law enforcement practices, rather than drug mules. During Thaksin's 'shoot'em up' war on drugs they were quite highly ranked in the total body count scores.

It's sad to see a well deserved reputation for thuggery being cast aside in favour of trafficing.
