Gulf Air - Lately Anyone?

Featured Replies

Anyone used them lately through Bahrain to BKK?

Gulf is in a heap of trouble right now, have been for a while so don't expect their 2010 plan to refurbish the (now 6) remaining A330's ever materialized, but thought 1 or 2 may of got done before the fiscal and political brakes were applied again?

Been on GF hiatus for BKK runs past couple years having switched over to Qatar Air, so I'm out of touch with GF long haul.

Anyhow, needed to top up loyalty points to maintain status for 2013 as I do frequent short hauls with them, which is good, so took a deep breath and booked in for BKK which, by the way, ended up around $750 less than Qatar.

I suspect there will be a big trade off in hard and soft product for that difference but thought I would check to see what we are in for.

Thanks for any feedback if available.

Regards,

Jay

I flew with Gulf LHR to BKK several months ago coach and it was ok, nothing exceptional but nothing negative that I recall. I remember it as being relatively comfortable, for coach.

Most of the FA's were Thai and very pleasant.
