Mbp Battery

My 15" MBP's (model A1281) battery has gone pear shaped and I need a new one. Last time I purchased one from ebay; unfortunately the seller no longer has that item; he was based in Hong Kong. Other ebay sellers are all based in the US and the shipping is pretty costly. Apple want USD129 which is pretty expensive. My guess is that iStudio, if they even have it, will be even more expensive.

Does anyone know where else here in BKK I might be able to purchase one at a reasonable price?

Thanks for the link. I didn't know these guys existed but WOW are they expensive. 4900 baht (~USD 163) for a battery? I found another supplier on ebay today selling genuine Apple batteries out of Hong Kong for USD 53 including delivery.

can't be bothered to look up your model number but if this is an older MacBook Pro you should do yourself a favor and get a 3rd party laptop battery from fastmac:

These are way better than the (old) Apple batteries. They work more like the newer unibody MBP batteries, and last around 3 years instead of 1 if lucky - I usually destroyed them much faster...

My own experience with cheap batteries from Hong Kong has been less than stellar. Once got one for my old Windows laptop. It was a special model and hard to get batteries for but a seller in HK had one for around $60. The problem was, this one was dead after a few months. Not exactly high quality and while the seller guaranteed it for 3 months... it did not last much longer than that.

I am also looking for a battery for my MBP. When I go to the FastMac site I go to the battery section, pick my MBP and then get taken to a shopping page and my MBP is no longer listed.
