So a rental lease contract / Yellow Book or WP , is the only things accepted ?

Well the originally problem is that BKK Immigration not allow Residence Certificate if you not have a 1yr VISA . .

But Jomtien will not accept out of Chonburi rental lease contract i think... so i use my second address.. hope that works.

Most immigration offices will want you to be making 90 day address reports to provide such letter and that would mean being on a one year extension of stay at that office; but not sure what Jomtien requires.

But do u think a Immigration office different from that Province you have your lease contract to will sign a certificate ? . . .

I could use my old address.. but that would be a jail sentence if they find out...

. i live in Samut Prakan Province . So there is no immigration office here... then maybe they accept to write me a certificate in Chonburi province ? . . . hm I dont see why not .

Also.... does it really needed a Certificate when register an MC to my name.. when i have my address on the backside of my DL ? . .

Hi, I am new to this Forum, I worked in Bangkok (still cant spell Bangcock) but I am assuming you have no one year Visa, If so I am sure some people have said if you are over fifty you can get a retirement Visa if you have a certain amount of money in a Thai Bank account.

Then you can get the Residency Visa. Thats easy it only takes omne visit to immigration. I had to get one recently to prjurchase a motorcycle. I think though it has to be in the correct province.

Id be surprised if they grant an extension of stay though here in the Chonburi (Jomtien office). Except if its a Retirement Visa Or B Visa with work permit, maybe an O Visa, but I am pretty sure they would want to see a Marriage certificate.

Worst case scenario you can plead ignorance; if you get refused, bottom there is usually a way around everything in this country . But it Costs.

Six posts and we finally find out you want the Certificate of Residence to register a Motorcycle . The answer is yes you need a Certificate of Residence either from Immigration or from your Embassy (a higher cost option) to register a MC in your name. This is a Land Transport Office requiement and not an Immigration requirement. As far as using your old address why take a chance of having an accident and your insurance company denying your coverage since your "incorrectly" stated your address
