phuket43
I have a "O" visa, multiple entry and are planning to drive by car from Phuket to Kuala Lumpur. On the way coming back, am I sure of getting 3 months extension? Some years back there was a lot of debate that overland crossings would only give 15 days extension. Normally, I use Ranong and always get 3 months. Thank you in advance.
wayned
As long as your visa is still valid, you will get 90 days. You must enter on or before the "enter before date" printed on your visa. Always check the stamps BEFORE you leave immigration they have been know to screw up! darrendsd
Yes you will get it, the 15 days overland thing is only if your previous stamp was a visa on arrival All 1 year visas qualify for 90 days even if coming in overland
lopburi3
Actually it has nothing to do with any previous entry stamp - it is based on your current visa or lack of visa and visa exempt status if no visa. A bit on the far side but a valid one year non immigrant O-A would get a one year permitted to stay stamp.
