Bts Noise Condominium

Featured Replies

anyone lives in a Condominium that is near BTS ?

do you have any noise issue created by the BTS ? is the noise tolerable, you have no issue at all or it's getting on your nerve.

as i know the BTS create quite a loud noise when they enter or leave the station.

Is this a joke?

I find the motorcycles and tuk-tuks to be much more of a problem from 200 metres away than I've ever heard from the BTS from no matter how close.

Elwood: "Well it ain't much but it's home."

Jake: "How often does the train go by?"

Elwood: "So often you won't even notice it."

Not an issue for me living less than 100m from Asoke BTS and I'm on the 8th floor.

Sure I can hear the trains arriving and departing but it's nothing compared to the buzz from nearby Cowboy and Asoke Road itself.

Anyone with a problem can just move or get double glazed windows installed.

I think I'm in the same place, but higher.

The BTS noise is the least of the noise problems.

Got one about 120 m as the crow flies from a BTS station and I don't notice it at all. I only use it once or twice a month though to get showered before going on the lash and sleeping it off the next day so maybe I just don't notice it in that time .

There is a much larger condo block between the condo and the station which may block the noise.

If you are near the BTS that probably means you are near a busy road. The road is what will cause you problems not the BTS.

I used to live on the 3rd floor right next to Sukumvit at Thong Lo and the noise of traffic forced me to move out.

before going on the lash

That was a new one on me, thanks! But couldn't find an explanation of the source other than:

> possibly when sailors were lashed with the cat of nine tails they would be plied with alcohol to numb the pain

or possibly from the fact that the same expression is used for urinating.

Any other ideas?
