I have the Blue Book but am not listed in it. Does anyone know where to get the Yellow Book and what is required? Also, has anyone presented this YB as proof of residence in order to get their driving license?

Needed a letter from KK Police.

Letter from Immigration.

Marriage Certificate and Wife's ID Card/Tabbien Baan

A visit to the Amphur with Phu Yai Baan as a witness.

Took about 4 hours of running around.

Every district will be different.

Suggest you visit the Amphur in Samui and ask them what they require.

Done mine over 1 year ago, needed

Passport and copy of relevant pages

Proof that we had the condo (stuff from agent)

Wife and her blue book

that was about it

Use it for Driving License renewal, bank stuff and immigration office.

Thanks everybody but it sounds like it is more trouble than it is worth. I wanted to get it so I could avoid Samui IO as they charge 500B each time and I need it to get a car and a 5-yr license renewal. The Blue Book took me ten miniutes to get. There should be an easier way to prove residence here. I'm surprised that a 5-yr license and passport with years of extensions isn't enough proof.
