Anodard Hotel

Featured Replies

Has anyone any info about this hotel? It's located in the old city not far from the Chiang Mai gate. The price is right, B695 for a double and was told they have plenty of parking avaliable.

Its not that impressive from what I have seen of it.

Look at reviews of Tripadvisor and its a mixed bunch with a lot of "low" comments.

Try that and Agoda and you can get photos as well.

They have a range of prices; at the cheap end they're not a bad choice, as far as cheap rooms go. Location is good too, and there is somewhat of a swimming pool. At 695 though: No way.

They used to have a special "late check in" price.... for those that ......needed an after midnite bed.

Depends what you require, the staff are very very friendly. Room cleaned daily. Aircon ok. Location is brilliant, close to walking street. Opposite best coffee shop in town. Easy walk to hundreds of restaurants. Swimming pool clean and pleasant. Drinks available at reception. I think good value for money. Ok it is not a 5 star hotel.

Go to the Top North Guest house in MoonMuang Soy 2.

Much better swimming pool and only 400bht for an air-con room.

(rooms are a bit dirty, but pool is great and very central location)

PS

Staff in the Anodard are friendly, the lift attendant asked me if I wanted a girl to share my room. The car park is large, the pool is very small.

For 700bht a night you could stay in a poolside bungalow at the Eurasia Chiang Mai Hotel (a little out of the centre about half way between train and bus station)

I have a word association with Anodard....its called ripping off customers.

ever since i read a load of reviews somewhere or other, i can not forget the couple that were charged for launching the glazed hotel room window from the 2/3 floor onto the car park and damaging a car; when infact they were out sightseeing......

I may have some details wrong. (they could have been shopping)

many bad reviews, not worth the risk really

Thanks for the replies. We decided to book a room at the Imm Hotel at Thapae Gate.

Imm Hotel is a better bet than Anodard... unless you're looking for a place to provide overnight shelter to new acquaintances. The only gripe I have with Imm Hotel is that it's built like an atrium with hard, flat surfaces, and no sound insulation.
