Shooting At Suan Dusit Rajabhat University Today

Featured Replies

I have just heard from a friend of mine on an international project at the University. She told me that 2 or 3 students were shot dead on the campus today. I have seen nothing on here about it and wondered if anybody has seen any news items about this or has further information.

She has said that the shootings happened in the University grounds next to a primary school. I don't have any further information than this. Anybody heard anything else as she is, understandably, worried about going in tomorrow. I would like to re-assure her as best I can.

Thanks.

Yes there are reports that two people are dead.

Self answered. Just found an article in the Bangkok Post that covers it. Boyfriend shot girlfriend, then himself. It should help my friend feel safer.

---EDIT---

Got it the wrong way round. Boyfriend was shot then partner shot self.

Thank you for your help.

Having a quick look at some of the Thai news sites, it looks like the shooter was a student and killed himself afterwards. So if the school is open tomorrow it should be OK to go in.

Thanks. This is not good news, but it does mean that she will feel safe there.
