How To Move All Of Our Stuff To Thailand

Featured Replies

Im currently based out of Middle East, will most likely be moving to BKK in the end of this year.

I was wondering if anyone could give me an advice about the best option to move ones personal belongings to Thailand. Not the cars, sofa's and all of that stuff, but But all of your clothing, gadgets, PC's etc, maybe 4-5 suitcases.

It looks like overweight is about 20-25 USD per kilo these days and can be quite costly (im traveling with Thai Airways most likely)

Anyone have some good advice here?

Thanks in advance.

Check out the unaccompanied baggage options at the airport you're leaving from.

Personally I'd sell off most of it and buy new here, plain postal sea freight for anything not worth the above rates.

But if you really want it and have enough to justify, international removal firms will give you quotes, I'm sure you'll get some specific suggestions here, which you might want to compare to the list of TV.com sponsors in that category.

most people do the estate sale thing. put the rest family treasures etc in storage, or better yet convince a nearby relative to take care of them. just dumping it at a relatives doorstep and leaving may also work.

helps you get a fresh start which is nice.
