I am looking to have some lens for camera sent over second hand.. Has anyone imported lens or bought in anything via post or courier..

I am just wondering about any tax etc..

Cheapest and most likely to get through without scrutiny would be plain postal service slow boat, but keep the receipt in case, they won't necessarily believe it but might help you negotiate. Should clearly look second-hand as well.

DHL or FedEx more secure but guaranteed to incur import duty, I believe the former more likely to be less than the latter, but usually neither gives you the ability to negotiate, or at least not without wasting a lot of time.

Sure it isn't cheaper just to buy here? Have a Thai friend check out online sources for you probably cheaper than Bahtandsold.com etc

Thanks for reply I do not have any friend over until end of feb then I go visit uk so not worth the wait ... Might as well get them when home..

I wanted minolta lens and can't get them 2nd hand here..
